ECE 3850 - Managing an ECE Classroom


3 cr
This course explores developmentally appropriate classroom management techniques for young children. Topics covered include pro-social child development, teaching social skills, managing challenging behaviors, and the social context of classroom management. The role of the classroom environment in managing behavior and promoting pro-social interactions.

Prerequisite(s): EDU 1030 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education; grade of B- or better in all prior ECE courses in the sequence; 2000 hours in the field of early childhood education; workforce placement recommended
