ECE 3840 - Advanced Child Development 3 cr This course examines the development of young children (Birth-Age 5) with an emphasis on the physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional domains and the concept of the whole child. This course requires students to apply child developmental theory and learn best practices.
Prerequisite(s): EDU 1030 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education; grade of B- or better in all prior ECE courses in the sequence; 2000 hours in the field of early childhood education; workforce placement recommended Typically offered: Fall, Spring Special fee: There is a fee associated with this course.
