BIO 3320 - Ornithology

This course is an introduction to the basic biology of birds with a focus on bird identification and field observations, bird behaviors, adaptations, and communication. A good portion of the class will also be learning to identify birds of the region by sight and sound. Students will participate in mist net banding of birds and learn bird handling techniques.
