BIO 3240 - Advanced Human Physiology 3 cr This course will examine biochemical and physiological adaptations of humans experiencing extreme environments (either external, or internal via disease). Parallels will be made between animal adaptations and observed changes in human physiology during acute and extended habitation in such environments. Attention will be focused on how these adaptations influence our approach to human health and medicine.
Lecture/Lab: 3 hours of lecture Prerequisite(s): BIO 1121 and BIO 1122 , or BIO 2011 and BIO 2012 Typically offered: Spring, even years
