ATM 3030 - Atmospheric Thermodynamics 3 cr This course provides an application of physics and calculus to the study of atmospheric thermodynamics and provides a foundation for more advanced topics such as dynamics, cloud physics, and weather forecasting. Topics may include ideal gas properties, work and energy, hydrostatics, thermodynamics of dry, moist, and saturated air, and thermodynamic diagrams.
Prerequisite(s): ATM 2025 , MAT 2532 , and PHY 2062 with grades of C- or higher Typically offered: Fall Special fee: There is a fee associated with this course
