NUR 1015 - Health Promotion, Wellness, and Disease Prevention 5 cr Graded
This course will provide foundational knowledge to students in areas of wellness, health promotion, disease prevention, through utilization of evidence-based practice, and awareness of the effect that diversity, equity and social determinants of health have on individuals and groups across the lifespan. A variety of communication and interviewing techniques to foster patient care and Interdisciplinary Academic Unit partnership. The role of the nurse within the healthcare system and the impact of the nursing process on quality and safety are explored. This course is designed for students enrolled in the School of Nursing.
