NUR 4040 - Nursing Care of Women and Childbearing Families

In this course, students will apply the nursing process to the care of women across the lifespan. Students will develop skills to meet the needs of families during pregnancy, labor, birth, recovery, and the transition home. Nursing students are expected to exercise critical thinking, use therapeutic communication skills, and provide nursing interventions for the acute, chronic and high-risk healthcare needs of women and families.

Corequisite(s): NUR 2045
