NUR 2510 - Evidence-Based Nursing and Informatics


3 cr
This course will explore inquiry and scholarship in the nursing discipline with a focus on providing students with foundational knowledge regarding critical appraisal and research utilization for the provision of nursing practice that is evidence based. The student will learn the importance of inquiry, how to formulate a clinical question, perform database searches, critically analyze evidence and complete a literature review. Additionally, the course will review how informatics and technology are used to provide care, gather data, drive decision making and support the nursing discipline. This course is designed for students enrolled in the School of Nursing.

Prerequisite(s): MAT 1350  
Restrictions: Enrollment in the School of Nursing
Offered: Fall, Summer
General Education: This course fulfills the Digital and Computing Literacy general education requirement.
